Extensive Reading

Extensive Reading involves learners reading texts for enjoyment and to develop general reading skills. The learners in Jasmin’s Classroom read easy and enjoyable books to build their reading speed and fluency.

Reading extensively builds vocabulary. When the learners read a lot, they encounter thousands of words. Students develop an awareness of the usage of collocations from reading.

One objective of Extensive Reading is reading for pleasure. This builds confidence and motivation which makes the learner a more effective user of language.

廣泛的閱讀意味著學生喜歡閱讀並且培養學生的閱讀能力。在潔思敏語文教室，學生閱讀有趣的書籍來增進閱讀的速度及流暢度。
